Dr Róisín Astell is a medieval art historian who specialises in illuminated manuscripts. Róisín received a First Class Honours in History of Art from the University of York (2014) and an MSt. in Medieval Studies from the University of Oxford (2016). In 2017, she was awarded a CHASE AHRC scholarship as a PhD candidate at the University of Kent’s Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies, which she completed in 2022.
